Christmas Magic

A sneak peak of the latest bit of Christmas magic coming out of my studio!

I am also an avid follower of a little thing called Pinterest. ;)
Thus I am working on a small do it myself project in my spare time. It is testing my very limited sewing skills quiet thoroughly.

Good Vibes

Life is looking up going into this holiday season. The election is finally over and Christmas commercials have taken their rightful place on TV. We no longer have to watch major party leaders say nothing and throw slander at each other for another for years. The holidays are upon us. I don't know if you are ready yet. I know I'm not, there is still much shopping to be done in my house hold. But the stores are ready. And here's to hoping its a good shopping season this year.
This positive outlook that has taken a hold of my life is a definite change from this summers worry and concern, over where I am going with my life.  I am finally finding my way where my art is concerned. It is nothing concrete but I know what I want to make and I know what I want it to look like. That is what I'm going to strive for. And I hope people like it.
I read this article a few days ago http://www.hlntv.com/article/2012/11/14/nick-shore-mtv-gen-y-millennial-making-america .  It really fits in with how I've been feeling lately. Usually when people write about my generation there isn't much good to say. Whether it is ill about us or ill about the struggle we will have. I moved to Baltimore when I started going to school and stayed after I graduated and the change in the city is exciting to see. There are so many young people starting all kinds of business. I have many friends making a go of it. It is exciting and really scary at the same time. I'm hoping to make a small mark of my own in all this change.

Shining Rowhouses

Recently I have been in a bit of a slump when it comes to making art. This you can see from my lack of posts lately. It was a rough summer here in Baltimore and my focus has been other places then my art. What to do to get myself back on track? Well after talking with one of my illustrator friends about the issue I have decided that I am going to embark on one of those 30 day challenges. But I am going to extend the life of each piece I work one to one week instead of the one day it normally is. So Instead it will really be a 30 week challenge. I am really excited to stretch my brain! In the meantime here is another snippet of one of the things I am working on for the holiday season! Enjoy!

Is It to Early For Christmas?

Well, summer is offically over, and it is fall again. I have a pumpkin pie in the fidge, and I am taking advantage of pumpkin flavored everything where ever I go. It's that time to start gearing up for the holiday season, getting all the craft show goodies made and ready to sell. This is a very exciting time, and I have been gifted with a wonderful new machine that will hopefully make the process much faster. But more on that later! I have a quick little preview of some of the little things I have in the works.

Also! I finally have been able to get my desk moved into my appartment. It has taken this long mainly because we were affaid that it wouldn't fit up the narrow Baltimore row house stairs. But it's finally here!
